About CFC 2025

IACM Computational Fluids Conference (CFC)

It is our pleasure to host the 23rd version of the Computational Fluids Conference, born at Swansea (Walles, UK) as Finite Element in Fluids Conference in 1974, that has a large and well recognized trajectory within the computational mechanics community. It is the first time that CFC will be held in Latin America, encouraging from Chilean, Brazilian, Argentinean and Uruguayan communities. Santiago de Chile City will welcome you during March 17-20, 2025!

This international conference is an excellent opportunity to meet people working in different aspects of computational fluid mechanics, including diverse numerical techniques (finite element, finite volume, finite differences, spectral and particle methods among others), mathematical aspects of the formulation, modelling, simulation and applications, as well as statistical analyses, dimensional analyses, verification and validation techniques, uncertainties, emerging techniques coming from genetic algorithms and artificial intelligence and many other related aspects.

The conference expects to cover a wide range of topics: laminar and turbulent flows, compressible and incompressible flows, free surfaces, moving interfaces, Newtonian and No-Newtonian fluids, thermo-fluid coupled problems, fluid-structure interactions. Moreover, their applications can be found in many classical and emerging issues: aerodynamics, melting and solidification problems, energy generation, health studies, environmental flows, hydrology, food industry, mining, cooper production, steel refinement, ventilation and refrigeration, sedimentation, material transportation, as many as the participant want to propose.

Invited speakers will give plenary and semi-plenary lectures presenting the challenges and developments of their specific areas of knowledge followed by Minisymposia aimed to offer the participants the possibility of exposing their current works, promoting the meeting between researchers, sharing, discussing and networking between their areas of interest in a collaborative way.

We expect to meet you in Santiago, and besides the Conference, we also hope you can enjoy the city and, if you have the chance, the country and the region.
