Nonconforming Virtual Element Methods for the Oseen Eigenvalue Problem

In this presentation, we analyze a nonconforming virtual element method to approximate the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the two-dimensional Oseen eigenvalue problem. The proposed method uses divergence-free spaces, enabling accurate capture of the divergence at the discrete level, as well as the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. Using compact operator theory, we demonstrate the convergence of the method and provide error estimates. Additionally, we recover the double order of convergence for the spectrum through this theory. Finally, we present numerical tests to evaluate the performance of the proposed numerical scheme
